My name is Mary Pat Penley and this is my seventh year teaching in Helena. I will be the k-2 resource room teacher at Bryant next year. The resource room, or student success center, as I like to call it, is a special place where all children “get what they need to succeed.”
I started teaching in 1993, after graduating from Eastern Montana College. After a few years teaching in Montana, I married Tim, and started moving all over the country. In 1997, I received my Masters in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado. I have been lucky enough to teach in Virginia, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and Hawaii. Tim and I have three kids. Amanda, Tyler and Thomas….yes, I have three teenagers!
