The Child Development Classes at Capital High School are now accepting applications for their 41st Annual Playschool to be held May 2, 4, 5, 9, 10, 16, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25th. Playschool will begin at 12:40 pm. and conclude at 2:15 p.m. on the listed dates in room 115. Your child will have the best play experience if he/she is between the ages of 3 and 5 and can be left at playschool without experiencing separation anxiety. Children must be able to take care of their bathroom needs without assistance and follow directions from the teachers. Students must be immunized and provide verification. Parents are welcome to stay with their child during playschool. This can be helpful transition for a child who has never had a playschool experience. Activity centers will include housekeeping, music, sand play, play dough, manipulative play, block building, books, bead work, art experiences and easel painting. Children will participate in the play area of their choice during “free play” and then will work in small groups under the supervision of a “student child development teacher”. The high school “teachers” have planned a variety of exciting activities for your child. Snacks are provided and this is a free event.
